I can hardly believe it. She flew off at night last Friday. It was so cold, then it rained the next day and I sort of lost hope. I put her cage out on the roof, went out many times calling for her as she always answered but nothing came back. I suffer from depression and it took another couple of days for me to get it together enough without breaking down and design some posters to put up. I then put an ad on craigslist, posted to 911 Parrot Alert but I had really just given up. I’ve lost birds before and I know basically if they’re out there, they don’t know about survival and without a flock they are in such danger. I went through the motions and didn’t expect much when I find a message from Jaime at 911 Parrot Alert. Someone had found a cockatiel in my town almost a mile from where I live. What were the chances it was really my little bird whose name is Flo? So I got the lady’s number, called and called until she answered and arranged to meet with her to see the bird. When she brought her out, I was so in shock to see that it was indeed my bird, I had a hard time expressing my surprise and gratitude. I didn’t have any pics or anything of her but the lady let me take her home anyhow. I’m so grateful to 911 Parrot Alert for reuniting me with my little Flo-bird I cannot say Thank you enough but once again, Thank You So very much!
