Itchy is a beautiful citron crested cockatoo 33 years of age. She has lots of personality and waves her foot at you and says hello, pretty bird, whatcha doin?
We have had Itchy taking her in or eight years ago when a friend had to move and could no longer keep her. Based on conversations with breeder friends and others who keep birds we think she got the mating desire/drive in her head and nothing was stopping her so when she had an opportunity when she was outside on the gazebo with us she just up and flew right off my hand and never came back now going on three days or April 25, 2020. She has always been the most loving easy to care for companion bird and we are crushed.
