Jackson is a rescue, originally from the Lowell, MA area. Does not like to be handled, will crouch defensively and bite. However, will fly to people to land on heads and shoulders. Age is uncertain but at least 9 years old, potentially older. Responds to bird song and will chirp back. Does not care for treats or table food.
Escaped around noon on 2021/10/31 from Brownfield, ME and stayed in nearby tall trees for several hours before apparently following the sun south / westward. Has a well established routine and will seek shelter at dusk.
