My little and young (8 months old) Gold-capped conure Ginger hopped a ride outside on Tuesday December 18 about 4 PM, and was in the neighborhood of Ravenwood Run and Ravenwood Place in Athens, GA near Gaines School Road. She tried to return here several times, but descending flight was difficult. She was spotted in the yard a day later but was spooked when approached by the person who saw her, and flew off.
She has a deep orange cap on her head, and flight feathers are blue with her body green. She is highly social and is very likely to go to a friendly human. A bad turn in the local weather makes this more of a possibility. She is a companion to my 20 year old Gold capped conure and is dearly missed.
A $600 reward is offered for information leading to her return. I very much hope that a Good Samaritan has her and is willing to return her. She is microchipped.
