Good Morning Retta,
Thank you for the return information. As I had contacted so many organizations after my precious pet went missing, I couldn’t remember who I gave my update to. Here’s our successful story about the rescue of Tiki.
Happy New Year to you.
“Tiki from Panther Ridge/Bradenton who went missing on 12/14, was found last night, the 15th, after 12 hours of searching the dense woods of our neighborhood.
It’s due to your website’s suggestions for recovery that she was found.
Thankfully we had a recording of her daddy and she talking for a 9-minute segment that we played from a speaker as we walked through the woods. She heard the sounds and began her return squawks.
Even after identifying her location, it still took us eight hours to get her into our possession.
As they say on television, “don’t try this at home”, it’s due to my husband’s amazing agility and experience with climbing that brought her home! He climbed a 45- foot oak tree (thankfully Tiki wasn’t in a pine tree) to reach the top limb that she was perched on and out from the trunk about 20 feet.
It’s just an amazing story that words cannot justify the experience. The culmination of this rescue took place in darkness too!
Thank you once again for providing us the mechanisms to turn our hope into reality.
Cheryl and Ronnie Powell”

Tiki is approximately 6 inches long. She only has two long feathers on each wing. She has two claws missing from her left foot. She was last seen headed southwest from our neighborhood. We live on the Sarasota/Manatee County border, just north of where University Parkway would extend and adjacent to the Concession Golf Course community.
