“We are so happy to report that Zuri is back home! This afternoon we received a call from a neighbour down the road who had him. He had flown down and landed on a porch, and the lady there not knowing what to do with birds called another neighbour who he stepped up on and went inside for some food and water. Luckily we posted a poster at the local grocery store and he went looking to see if anyone was missing a parrot and there our ad was. He is a bit shaken, but has drank lots and ate lots and now is just resting. The odd part is when he flew away he was flying in the opposite direction and must’ve back tracked to come back home. We don’t live in a house, we live in a high rise condo so we were unsure if he would know to do that. Sure enough he was just down the road.
We are so lucky and thankful! Thanks again!”

Zuri is a grey bird with a burgundy tail.. he likes to whistle especially when you have whistled to him. He has new feathers coming in his chest and back that you can see. He flew from the Southwest Optimist Park (Pioneer Dr/Homer Watson).
