I read online that they usually don’t go far unless something scares them, and the best time to try to find them is dusk and dawn. So, at dawn the next morning I went into my back yard and starting whistling the songs that we sing together. A bit later he circled the house and landed in a neighbors tree. He wouldn’t come down, though. Then I had an idea. He takes a shower with me every morning, and afterwards I wrap my hair in a towel. He loves to ride up there. So I went under the tree with a towel on my head and he came down, landed on the towel, and we walked into the house!
So, that’s how I got him back. I love him EVEN more, now! Didn’t think it was possible. He is just precious.
