RESPONDS TO “BIRD”
Cosmo flew away yesterday afternoon (approx. 4:30) when my boyfriend briefly opened the backyard door. He flew around the block, found a tree he liked, and chirped at us for 15 minutes. He kept flying back to our house and talking to us for a bit, but he never got close enough for us to grab him. He continued to fly around the neighborhood and come back to talk to us at least 6 times from 4:30 til the sun had set (around 8:30) when we couldn’t hear him chirping anymore. I think he found a comfy spot in a tree and fell asleep, as that’s when his bedtime is. I put his cage outside and sprinkled some millet and seeds around the patio, hoping it’ll coax him into coming home. I turned on the patio light so he can hopefully see it. If found, please be gentle and quiet with him. He hasn’t met many people outside of our family, and me and him are the only people he’s bonded with enough to let us hold him. If he must be caught, please consider using a towel as he’s very scared of hands and will bite them or fly further away.
