Truman was found in Canarsie by Von this morning. I got the call around 11:30AM, 48 hours since he was lost, that a man in Canarsie had a green bird in his yard. That is very far away and I didn’t believe it until he said he had a white beak, had been screaming there for hours, and had orange on his wings. I knew that was Truman. I rushed over there with Ronen who was helping me search. Sure enough Truman was sitting on top of the awning playing around. He wasn’t desperate at all and wasn’t all that eager to leave. After letting him finish an almond outside, I put his harness on and took him home. He’s in good shape and still has energy to fly. I won’t be clipping his wings but I will be reconsidering the consequences of outdoor freeflight. Full story tonight but just wanted everyone to know that he is found and safe!
