In their natural habitat in the Australian Outback, cockatiels sometimes fly hundreds of miles to find new desert water holes, so she could be far from where she escaped. She is very fast. She is quite tame, and may fly rapidly to you and land on your head. She might be found near a bird feeder or near a source of water.
