Westerville, Ohio . . . Jada

11/12/2011

The Brown-Headed Parrot, Poicephalus cryptoxanthus, is a subtly colored member of this family. They are a muted green with a light brown head and bright yellow under the wings. Their eyes are a light yellow. Jada is a fun loving bird that loves to talk. Some of the words she uses are Chicken, Were did Oscar go, Whatcha doing, Get in your bed, Christy, Trick or Treat. She has a metalic sounding voice. I was carryng her to the car in my brothers drive way when the bottom of the cage fell off and she went flying away in a southernly direction. She was last seen on Annadale Court in Highland Lakes subdivision in the very southern part of Delaware county, Ohio. Her band fell off prior to purchasing so she does not have a band on her tallon. mark.niles-at-columbus.rr.com
