Penelope is a one-year old red-fronted macaw. She got away in our backyard. Her wings have always been clipped, but they must have grown out too long. She is very friendly but probably very hungry and scared at this point. She is banded, and we know her band number for identification. She now has more red over her beak than in the photo. She has orange under her wings. Her chirp is very loud. She has been around the same neighborhood in Haddonfield for the last two days, near Christ the King Church and Hopkins Avenue. She doesn’t know her name but will respond to our whistle.
We are offering a reward for her safe return. Please call me at 609-xxx-xxxx or email me at mcparland-at-comcast.net. We are worried she may be blown off course with Hurricane Irene headed this way.
