She is 2.5 years old and was hand raised and is very friendly unless frightened. Her favorite treat is walnuts (she recognizes both “treat” and “walnut”, and we have seen her several times around town since she flew away, though she only seemed interested in coming back to us for the first 16 hours or so, though she has returned to our house several times, if only briefly. Now she has stopped answering our calls even when we see her. We last saw her in a very tall mulberry tree near the intersection of Jefferson and Whittier in Grosse Pointe Park. We fear she has become very comfortable with flying outside in the last couple days, but thankfully we believe she has been able to find food and water and at least isn’t at immediate risk. We also have not seen or heard her since the barrage of fireworks last night and we are afraid she may have been scared into flying a long way from home. She had only one clipped feather left on each wing when she got away, but was due to lose those feathers. Her band was removed by our vet when she was very young since it was the wrong size for her, so she has no identifying markings.
