Please help me bring Duckie home safe💚 There is a reward for her safe return. I’m heartbroken and devastated. There is an $800 reward for her safe return. She is fully flighted and loves people, almonds and walnuts.
She got loose on Marginal Way in Ogunquit, ME on 7/6 around 3pm EST and was last seen flying over the ocean toward Ogunquit Beach over some boats. and then there was a sighting later that day of a man outside of the Portland Trader Joe’s with a parrot matching Duckie’s description saying he “just found this bird”. I’m hoping it’s Duckie as a customer witness and employees confirmed it looked just like her.
I’m a vet tech & Duckie is on a strict and expensive daily diet with supplements and sees a board certified avian vet regularly and even has her own veterinary health insurance. The sooner I can bring her home the better💚🥺 I love and miss her so much. Her flock mates haven’t stopped calling for her since she went missing.😔

🦜Coloring:
Orange Body, Green wings and tail, yellow feathers dusted on the top of her wings, black beak, white pigment around her eyes.
🦜Personality:
Loves people, will land on shoulders and heads. Loves to cuddle. Does not bite but will be vocal if she doesn’t like something. Loves light head scratches.
🦜Fears:
She HATES towels and blankets or any large objects so those will make her fly away. Try to go slow and be as unintimidating as possible.

Duckie is FULLY FLIGHTED, but has been free flight trained and station trained and goes on outdoor adventures very frequently which is why this incident is so devastating as this is completely out of character for her- she’s a Velcro bird and prefers to be on me or my boyfriend who were both present at the time of the incident.
🦜The Incident:
Duckie got spooked by some unknown trigger & escaped her flight harness and got away from her backpack carrier and then took off flying over the houses along Marginal Way.
🦜Last Known Location:
She was last seen flying over the ocean along Marginal Way above some boats in Ogunquit, Maine toward the Ogunquit Beach at 3:00pm EST on Saturday 07/06/2024.
🦜Possible Current Locations:
She could be in or around the Ogunquit Coast, in the brush along the beach, hiding in the rocks along the coast, on someone’s roof, on a hotel or residential balcony, high up in a tree or low on the ground in the bushes/grass. She could also be deeper into the residential areas of Maine. Please check your backyards and decks/balconies.
‼️POSSIBLE SIGHTING 7/6/24 between 4-6pm EST in Portland, Maine of a man finding her and holding her outside of the Trader Joe’s in Portland saying “he found a bird”. The story has been confirmed by both a witness and the Trader Joe’s employees, who also confirmed the bird in question looked just like Duckie. I hope it’s Duckie! I have DNA on file for her to match if need be. Please share and contact Portland PD or Ogunquit PD with any information. No one is in trouble, I just want her home safe💔
