I know it’s been a while and it’s not my first posting but i can’t give up on Billy, i think about him every day. He is the founder of Perroquetsecours.com, a website looking to find the owners of lost and found birds, just like 911parrotalert does and for who i volunteer also.
Billy and i were very much bounded and he has a friend parrot here at home who looked for him everywhere in the house after he disapeared back in 2008 at Ivy Lea’s campground in Lansdowne ON, where we were on vacation along with our birds. We stayed on the campground for a month looking for him but i never thought then to publish on the internet, i was so overwounded with pain and sorrow. I did publish when we got back for 2 years everywhere without success.
I know in my heart he is still alive somewhere and he is within Perroquetsecours’ mission which wouldn’t exist without having lost him.
If you have found Billy in 2008, far from me the intention of taking him away from the person who has loved him for the last 5 years and who probably loves him as much as i do. I just want to know he is OK and loved like he deserves to be because he was and probably still is such a good bird.
I had Billy microchipped so if you’ve found a jardine near Lansdowne ON, after the 08th of July 2008, it’s very easy to verify if it is Billy by having a vet scanning him. It would ease my conscience and my heart to know he is well and loved.
