Hello again Karen, Oh my goodness! This IS Harley, OTHERWISE he has an identical twin! He was making ‘wild bird noises’ and it converted into his old happy-chirp!
I was SO EXCITED! He has been singing and singing!!! He whistles the wolf whistle as he knew, and parts of ‘when the saints come marching in’, as I had taught him! I am in awe. The finder & I keep in touch to confirm the bird is Harley. He is so happy, sings for at least 30-40 minutes in the morning, and here and there throughout the day, recalling his Happy song tunes! It is as though he shocked himself when he first sang in the high/happy tone, remembering the niceness of that sound!
He cracks me up and we are so happy!
I even told Bruce, the bird owner of the ‘first’ thought to be Harley cockatiel we had claimed and given to his owner.
Thankfully ~
Renee

This is Harley’s owner and believe it or not I believe Harley is home safe! He was found @ 12 miles SW of here on 5/7/11. I went to meet him and the finder two days ago and it is 99% Harley! The bird is w/me now, getting used to being home. His appearance is identical, he is quieter now, but did spark a chirping bout this afternoon! I am excited and thankful to Virginia, the finder – who also has a posting for a lost female/yellow cockatiel. Now, waiting for Harley to sing as he used to and expect it to take a little while!
Sincerely,
Renee
