Jerry is talkative and affectionate budgie who escaped our house on July 18. He immediately flew high into the tall tree canopy (very tall fir trees). He moved from there, and miraculously found him later in on a neighboring street – also with very tall trees. We called to each other but he flew way above our heads as if he was disoriented and not able to figure out that he needed to come close to the ground. It was nearing dusk and we heard him high up in a tree but then he went silent. We returned at dawn the next day hoping he was still there, but no such luck. Location of last contact was 46th Ave NE and 192nd St, in Lake Forest Park, just south of Horizon View Park and the LFP Water Reservoir. We have been roaming the area, calling out to him and hoping to hear his reply. He responds to his name, and a whistling version of Peter and the Wolf.
