SIGHTED – flighted pair of Mitred Parakeets (could have been red-crowned Amazons) perched in high branch of magnolia tree on June 12, 2016. I also heard them chattering on Friday, June 10, 2016 in the same tree. Both times they were in the tree at about 2-3 pm. They may be mated or bonded pair, they arrived and flew away together. Very vocal, strong fliers. They flew away when I tried to lure them with a large sprig of millet and I lost sight of them, but I believe they will be back. Green birds, about 15″ long with vivid red on head. Could not get photo, they were perched too high.
