SIGHTING: Cockatiel at Flushing Meadow Park near Meridian Road past Avenue of Africa by the overpass. Cockatiel was fully flighted so it took off as I got closer and flew into the park towards the direction of the museum. Bird was grey with a lot of white (possibly pied); my partner thinks it was a whiteface, but I can’t remember as it happened very quickly. Bird was chirping loudly.
