I’m so sorry to say that my neighbor found this bird dead in her yard, apparently killed by a hawk. I know this isn’t good news but when I helped her take care of the bird I noticed the band and after a bit of googling I realized this was probably someone’s pet. Maybe not, I don’t know anything about birds, I just know how much pets mean to their owners and I want them to know that the search is over 🙁 the banding read :

The band was aquamarine blue and clear, the bird was very light gray and maybe a 9-12 inches tall. Missing one talon on the banded leg. Thanks for any help locating this birds owner and I’m so sorry, this has been very sad.
