I found this bird in my back yard yesterday and was able to catch it. His (I’m pretty sure its male) wings aren’t clipped and his colors are very vivid. Black pinion feathers, pearled feathers covering the entire tops of wings and back from tail to up the back of the head. Yellow face with bright orange cheeks.
