I wish I was better at identifying birds – but I was in Brookfield Place (Yonge/King) and found a bright yellow tropical bird with bright green feathers at the bottom of its chest and hooked beak – approx. body length 3″ – may be a parakeet – VERYcomfortable around people (nibbled my friends finger as we were trying to catch it using peanuts). I eventually grabbed it and the security officer took it to call a wildlife rescue. I’m not sure which one he called, but if this may sound like your bird, please call the security office at Brookfield Place and they will tell you where they sent your bird!!
