On March 29 I found a dead parrot in my daughter’s backyard in north Arlington, Virginia. I think it’s a parrot: yellow, orange & red upper body, darker tail feathers, about 10″ long.
It has a band with the following numbers: B 56 BBA VA 12 (at least that’s what we could make out–if these numbers don’t make sense, I can try to read them again.)
Do you know where this bird might be registered? Is someone looking for it? We have him/her in the freezer, so if the owner would like to claim him, we’d be happy to return this beautiful creature for a proper burial..
I reported it to the Arlington Animal Rescue League but never heard back from them. Before I give up, I thought I’d check with you. Please let me know what else I could do to locate the owner.
