A Good Samaritan found this injured Quaker outside this afternoon and took it to Longmont Humane Society. The Gabriel Foundation was contacted immediately and an hour later we had the bird. It has no band, what appear to be old foot injuries with missing toes. We do not have the address wheee the bird was found. The bird is receiving veterinary care right now. There are many unknowns but it appears to us that the bird was attacked due to the flesh wounds, broken beak and R. eye injury. Please contact birds@thegabrielfoundation.org for further information.
