We found a very domesticated White Dove or Pigeon ( with grey speckles) sitting near our window. It arrived at our window sill, and has not left since 10 days ago ( around 6/1) . It has been around almost 24/7 and still sitting there. Even at 2Am, 5am… It has a tag ring on its feet. It will interact with you and it is NOT scared of humans AT ALL. You can go as close as 2 inches from it, and it looks at you, but won’t even move. We got it to fly away but it comes right back few hours later. Its a very sweet bird, needing some love… before a hawk, owl grabs this poor thing as dinner.
It must miss its family. It has not eaten in days — lonely, helpless, sad & depressed. We try to feed it, but don’t want it to make the window sill its permanent residence.
Please give me some advice what to do!
It needs someone to rescue ! Anyone out there with a big heart full of love, a clean environment, a cage & a place it can call “home” ?
