FROM D. Sommers-Dear 911 Parrot Alert, Today my daughter and I were very fortunate to be a part of a reunion, thanks to 911 Parrot Alert and Nextdoor. The found bird was originally posted on our local Nextdoor group. As my daughter and I were in contact with the finder/rescuer, I searched 911 Parrot Alert to find the listing of the lost bird. So I sent the poster a message. Then I posted the found bird to the found database also, just in case the owner did not receive my message. So this evening after the owner got in from a full day posting flyers (btdt), she saw my message in response to her lost bird posting and contacted me via telephone and email. I am very happy to report the bird is reunited with his people, but I cannot figure out how to change the status on the posting I made to the found birds database.
