Donna: It was a nightmare at first, as luck would have it he was within a mile of home, but I did not find him until the following day.

I spent the first afternoon calling for him, and he was so faint, I thought it was my imagination. But, I did not give up.

A local bird owner saw my ad posted on Craigslist, and contacted me, gave me some much-needed morale support,

and the courage to continue the search. 4 hours later, after going cross-country and through some fences, I finally tracked him down.

He was responding to me, but tired and much fainter.

I finally found the tree he was in, and about 3 hours later, with some treats, a borrowed ladder, a borrowed broomstick, and some patience and gentle maneuvering, I coaxed him down out of the tree.

He didn’t trot right down the tree branch, rather, kind of looked happy to be out in the sunshine, pretty much. But, he’s home, now, so, emergency cancelled, 24 hours later.

I was worried sick, my imagination painted the situation with a very black brush, and it wasn’t until I finally had him back home and indoors, that I really relaxed.
Thank you for creating and maintaining your website.

I wish you and all parrot owners the best and hope that they don’t have to go as far as I did to get their babies back. I’m kind of against wing clipping, but I’m more
against never seeing my bird again, either.

Thanks again, and have a great night!
Bert
