Hi Donna, Thanks, She Googled ” finding someone’s parrot” after he walked in the house behind her!. A very friendly equestrian family, Laurie knew how she would feel and looked for his owner and I love them for what they did for us!. I know they must have their hands full with horses but they make an excellent avian family, lot’s of love and patience . Depending on how you look at it, I made the decision to call the breeder and she held my hand through the shock and sent me to 911parrotalert and 3 days later our baby is home!. I was still stuck in the bird room but I was told that Stripes did some rather large circular swoops up in no time and then was last seen disappearing into the sunset towards the park 3 miles away where the chase led with no sightings. when the storm hit we figure he must have had some recollection of his travels because Laurie lives 2 streets up and one or 2 over in the last of the ranch areas here in town and it almost appears he was trying to come home cause only missed by not even a mile, It may even have looked a lot like his breeder’s place. overall I would say round trip 8-10 miles.
