JUNE 15 – SIGHTING! – GREEN LOVEBIRD, Ronkonkoma. “Sighting of a green lovebird on Julia Goldbach Ave in Ronkonkoma. It was feeding at one of my bird feeders very early this morning, and again at dusk tonight. I can get very close to it, but both times, when I went inside to get a towel or a cat carrier, it flew away. I think it may be roosting in a tree a few houses down from me; I recognize the sound from when I walk my dog.
