Tinker-Bell escaped her out-door aviary on August 8th. I am in the process of a major move from New Hampshire and had taken my six parrots to Kentucky to be cared for by my son and his family. Despite my detailed instructions on caring for my beloved pets, the worst accident possible happened. Tinker-Bell escaped and stayed in the immediate area until 2 days ago. She can be heard whistling and chatting all over the neighborhood, so she will be noticed. She was offered food and water and constant calling from my son, but refused to come down. By now, she probably is desperate and looking for food and water. She is a shy bird, but will step up if you find her on the ground. She won’t bite, but is a typical African Grey who steadys herself on your hand by her beak. She loves peanuts and apples and has been taught to fly to me on command by tapping my right hand onto my left arm. We are heart broken and I can’t think of living my life without crying. Please, if you see her, please call me at (214) 415-3717 (Cathy) or my son Nate at (270) 320-2273. They live on Rock Ridge Road, Brandenburg, KY. I will be driving there this weekend and pray that I will find her waiting for my return. email me at: cathylahue@hotmail.com
