Bernie was lost in the NE Irvington neighborhood at NE 18th and Siskiyou St, Portland OR. He was flighted indoors and one of our children left the front door wide open. Bernie had been eying the door and took his chance to fly out. We have seen him around the neighborhood but he’s flown off before we could get close enough. At home he was bonded with a male cinnamon green cheeked conure, who misses him.

At a previous home of his, Bernie used to chew on his toes so much that only one or two of his nails remain. Those nails really don’t grow much. His toes are shorter than they should be because of this. Bernie was not very hand-tame and preferred to play with his toys inand on his cage or cuddle with his male friend. So if you find him he likely won’t want you to touch him.

Bernie is a regular green and grey male Quaker parrot. You will recognize him by his toes and that he has a little cowlick right in the center of his forehead, that you can see if you get close enough to him. It doesn’t look too weird, just unique.
He does not have a leg band and I do not believe he has any microchip.
