OK, So I do not have this bird. I am not even in SC. But I was chatting with a man from Charleston who found this bird yesterday morning (Sunday May 27) at a marina sitting on the rail of a boat.
He says the bird came to his finger with very little coaxing. He sent me a photo of the bird. He asked at the marina office if anyone reported a bird missing and left his name and number. He believes that’s adequate. He also said he has gone “above and beyond” by saving the bird from osprey and crows.
I disagreed with him via text. and gave him a hard time bout not looking harder for the birds owner. He quit texting me after that… Go Figure
So if you have lost this bird, email me. send me a picture of it and if it matches, I will give you his first name and phone number, which is all the information I have.
He seems likeĀ nice guy, but does not seem to understand how animals become part of a family or how much a pet can be missed.
If you lost a cockateil and live near a marina, feel free to bypass me and ask at the marina office.
