This bird found me in the Texter Mountain Preserve while I was on a hike, she followed me from the woods to the parking lot walking on the ground. I offered my hand towards it and she jumped up and was happy to snuggle up in my jacket pocket for the trip home. She was out in the cold and rain and her condition has improved with shelter an food. For the time being she has a safe space in my workshop but our home is not safe for a bird long term.
