“Thank you so much for this information. I actually am aware of the site and was getting ready to sign up….but I have good news………… I FOUND MY BABY!!! It was such an unbeliveable and exciting moment when I first laid my eyes on her again… 🙂
I went across my neighborhood(direction my son said she flew until she was out of sight), with my 4 yorkies in tow and just kept calling her when out of the blue, I see this bird flying above us by itself. I wasn’t sure it was her until she was directly above us and I was able to see the burgundy-ish colored tail…I dont’ know if my calling brought her in our direction or perfect timing but I REALLY got to calling her then. She went out of sight for a minute but then I saw her on one of the house’s roofs. I called her and then the ultimate, I started singing Katy Perry’s “Firework”…she loves that song….low and behold, she flew down onto a wooden fence right behind me. I put my finger out and she gleefully hoped on…I was so delighted I could scream, but instead, hugged her and then put her in my dress at my chest with her head sticking out and we walked home. She just cooed and I could tell she was tired and hungry. It was a total of 28 hours she spent out there and would’ve been another whole, chilly night as it got dark about 20 minutes after capturing her.
She was so happy to see her cage and brother(my other GCC) and my blue front….
Thanks again for all the work you all do in having a platform for lost and found birds…..”

My Green cheek conure flew out of the house when my son left the door open(I am so mad right now). It happened on Tuesday, 8/30 at around 3PM in Brandywine,MD, Chaddsford neighborhood. I guess she could be anywhere in Brandywine, maybe Waldorf or Clinton.
Anyway, she is a sweet, loving bird. She is green with a burgundy/reddish tail, small for parrots but she is bigger than a parakeet. She loves being with people so that’s why Im hoping she ends up on someone’s porch, deck, fence, tree or I wouldn’t be surprised if she lands on someone’s shoulder. If you were to put your finger out, she’d step up on it. If not, I’d appreciate it if you could just grab her any way you can(towel, bucket, etc.).. I miss her so, so much and I ‘m also worried about my other green cheek who has been so quiet since she’s been gone. 🙁 Please email if you see her or call 301-xxx-xxxx.
Thanks a ton!!
