Parakeet or budgie has appeared at our backyard birdfeeder for two days. His belly is green and back is yellow with black stripes. He has blue on his tail and in a small spot on the side of his face. He is mixing in well with the sparrows and chickadees, eating seeds and drinking water. We have feral parakeets in the Dallas area, but this bird doesn’t resemble those and looks very well kept and clean. My husband was able to get fairly close to him, so he appears to know people. I have a clearer picture of his head while he’s sitting in a tree if anyone needs to see it.
