My black capped conure named Mickey flew the proverbial coop Wednesday afternoon and has been on the lamb since! Please, if you see him or hear someone mention a sighting, contact me asap 🙏 508-292-6185
Mickey is tame but hand shy. However, he is definitely hungry and dehydrated! Last definitive sighting was Thursday morning at dawn. He spent the night in a tree behind our home and at first light I tried to call him in by calling “yum-yum” which is his word for food/treats.
Unfortunately, he didn’t see me and after 5 minutes of talking back and fourth with him, he flew off in the WRONG direction!! 😭 Had a few possible audible “sightings” throughout the afternoon but nothing I can be certain about.
I am hopeful he won’t go too far, I have his “wife” and 4 babies helping to contact-call him home. However, we live on State Rd (a very busy main road on Martha’s Vineyard) and not only did he fly off in that direction, it is impossible to hear anything over the traffic! Please please, if anyone sees anything, please contact me! I love this little bugger to pieces and he is incredibly spoiled! I am an absolute wreck right now, especially knowing how cold it will get tonight and the rain approaching this weekend! He has a blue MI band, and I will provide the rest of the numbers if he’s found!
