Petey is 33 years old. Very tame. He doesn’t like dogs, cats, and children. He loves to whistle, and mimmic police sirens, but does not talk. Loves a gentle shower from the garden hose, when the weather is nice. He hasn’t bothered to use his wings in 30 years. I was surprised that he would fly away. Since he isn’t very active inside or outside his cage I frankly didn’t think his cardio would allow him to get far. But he has been sighted twice a fair distance from home. July 13th, on the roof of Reese Elementary, on Elm St, in Lodi. Again on the 14th flying between trees on Oak St between Pleasant and Lee. The second sighting was half the distance and within several blocks of home. Both times he was in the vicinity of a Silver maple which is the type of tree in my front yard.
